Posted by at 10:35 PM Read our previous post

The Great Pyramid is one of the most comprehensively
surveyed buildings in the World and it
also called the Khufu's Pyramid.

It is oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the
Giza and it took around 20 years to build the pyramid
and
the construction came to an end around 2560 BC.
Until the 19th century it was the tallest building in
the world and, at the age of 4,500 years, it is the
only one of the famous Seven Wonders of the Ancient
World that still stands. The height of the Great
Pyramid has come down to 138.8 m.
It is constructed with approximately 2,300,000
limestone and granite blocks. Weighing between 2.5
and 50 tons each, these stone blocks had to be quarried
from the earth.
There are three known chambers inside the Great Pyramid
- King's chamber, Queen's chamber and unfinished chamber.

The total mass of the Great Pyramid of Giza is
estimated to be 5.9 million tons, while its volume is
said to be roughly 2,500,000 cubic meters.
