The Eiffel Tower was built for the world’s exposition 1889 to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the French revolution. It was designed and built in just two years by 132 workers and 50 engineers, andis located on the Left Bank of the river Seine, in the Parc du Champ de Mars. This popular icon has attracted over 200 million visitors. The Eiffel tower was planned to be destroyed in 1909 after the world exposition but it still stands today as the symbol of modern and elegant Paris.

The 320 meters tall Eiffel Tower has three observation levels.First level: 57.63 meters.Second level: 115.73 meters.Third level: 276.13 meters.Gustave Eiffel built the tower using puddled iron which is a traditional wrought iron, and   Eiffel didn't design the tower all by himself, however. Other people in his firm who worked extensively on the tower included engineers Émile Nouguier and Maurice Koechlin, Tower architect Stephen Sauvestre, Jean Compagnon, who handled construction of the superstructure, and Adolphe Salles, who worked on the physical plant of the tower.
